I swear he will be blind before he's 20!!!!!

So, I took Brendan, Jordan and Rachel to the eye doctor today for a checkup. Well, Jordan needs his Rx changed yet again!! This will be the third time in a year and a half. Lucky for us, he treats his glasses like gold and his doctor was impressed that there isn't a scratch on them and we can still re-use the frames. Cha-ching!

So, it's been awhile...

Sorry for not getting on here sooner. Long story short...Telus sucks! lol My battle is over with them, so I am back online.

I can't say that a whole lot is new around here. Which is good, I guess. Work for Troy is just starting to pick up again. The company he works for, bid on a big job out in Cold Lake, but they did not get it. Although it would have meant big bucks for us, I can't say I am all together disapointed. It would have also meant him being gone for about 4 months straight. Sure, we could have visited, but anyone who has kids and a dog, knows that this is no easy job.

At the beginning of March, I started working at Budget Blinds, here in Leduc. I know, I know...a new job, yet again. I don't know if I was spoiled at my high school job or what, but I found working with younger kids a huge pain!!! So, after I quit working in the kindergarten class, I was looking for something to fill part of my day. Turns out, our neighbors across the street were looking for a receptionist for their blooming business. They only needed someone for 15 hours a week, but she wasn't sure who she could find that would actually want such little hours. Well, it's only a month and a half later and I now work 20 hours a week and the job is awesome!!! As it turns out, Jenn and I compliment each other quite well. And she tends to feed my sickness quite well and lets me organize the hell out of the office!

Brendan had his 11th birthday in February and he is just about up to my cheekbones now. He can't wait for the day, when he is taller than me. His height scares Troy a little. lol He has barely started puberty and he's so tall.

Jordan, well there is nothing new there. He is huge into Pokemon right now, much to my dismay. I was really hoping my kids would bypass all that crap. But, oh well. hehe

Elizabeth just got new glasses and she's as cute as a button in them. She has a hard time keeping them on all day, but were working on that.

Rach is doing well in school. She loves learning french and is the only one that will speak it at home.

A nurse, she will not be....

Thursday morning, I took the girls to a doctors appointment with me. While I was laying down, getting freezing put in, the nurse exclaims 'Oh no!' and you hear a thud. Elizabeth, who was standing behind me, fainted!!! She hit her head on the way down. She is okay, she didn't hit it hard and she came around on her own. I guess it was the best place for us to learn this. The doctor checked her over quickly. We aren't sure exactly what made her faint and she has no answers either. And thank God for Mom's, cuz as soon as I called mine, it took her less than 5 minutes to come and get her little baby girl. If you ask her today, Elizabeth finds it all quite comical that she scared Mommy. Brat.....

Brendan

This is us...

Troy is a working machine. He never seems to stop, but I try not to complain when I know there are so many people out there who don't have jobs. Or wives that can't seem to get their husbands off the couch to get a job. He's a smartass, can be loud, abrasive....he's everything I love in a man! hehe But, if you're lucky, you'll get to see his soft side. Then you will know why I love him so much. He'll kill me if he knows I wrote this!!

Tracy rarely sits down. I constantly feel the need to be moving, doing something, trying to be useful. I work part time in a kindergarten class, starting to do a few odd housecleaning jobs and keeping up with my own home.

Brendan (02.13.98) is almost 11 and is one of the most kind hearted people you will know. He is a people pleaser and will do anything for you, you just have to ask. He's getting way too tall and getting better looking everyday.....watch out girls.

Jordan (06.15.99) is the rebel of the family. We are an odd family, but he likes to push it that much more. hehe He is a boy to the core. There is nothing he loves more than hunting down frogs or bugs. He takes after my Dad in almost everyway. My favorite thing is that he doesn't just hug us, he dives in and attaches himself like a leach. That is how he hugs...at 9 years old. lol

Elizabeth (10.23.01) is our spitfire! Watch out, you hit her, she'll deck you back. She doesn't take anyones crap. hehe She loves music, math, writing and art. She has the biggest blue eyes you have ever seen and be aware....she knows how to use them!

Rachel (09.15.02) is our little tinkerbell. She flits around the house like a fairy, with her tiny giggles. She loves to do her own hair and Elizabeth's too. And she is quite good at it. She is a smart little thing and loves to read.
